MKU joins SAP alliance

Erpfoundation is a software platform made available to higher education institutions through the SAP University Alliances Program. SAP provides software licences to member universities free of charge for teaching and research purposes and established a University Competence Center (UCC) to provide hosting and professional support services.
The UCC for erp4- School is currently located at the University of Magdeburg, where it hosts the software, houses the hardware backbone and provides system services. This makes the latest ERP software available to erp foundation member institutions highly cost-effective.
The erpfoundation programme and curriculum was first applied successfully in Germany. As part of a three-year project, it is now being adapted to the needs and environments of African higher education and training institutions as well as to the market requirements of companies and other institutions in Sub-Saharan countries.
SAP is innovative software in ICT.
MKU Head of ICT Mr. Kamau has recommended for an association on the same. SAP will not only be beneficial to MKU ICT Departments but to all MKU Departments. SAP Training will also increase employability of our graduates.
The collaboration will see training of an individual at a very subsidized cost of USD80 as opposed to the normal cost of USD 2000.
