Mr. Jared Otieno Ogolla
Lecturer, School of Public Health
Jared Otieno Ogolla is a Kenyan public health expert, academic, and humanitarian practitioner with extensive experience in research, teaching, and community development. He holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and just completed his PhD in Public Health. Ogolla currently serves as a lecturer at Mount Kenya University’s School of Public Health and has previously taught at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology.
His professional career spans work with leading international and local organizations, including consultancy roles with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and humanitarian coordination with the Centre for Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CDMHA) and World Vision Kenya. His work has focused on health systems strengthening, community-based research, and disaster response.
He is also actively engaged in community and institutional development and HIV/AIDS initiatives, contributing to policy, awareness, training, and capacity building. He is known for his commitment to advancing public health practice and improving population health outcomes through evidence-based approaches.
