GDC and Mount Kenya University (MKU) will collaborate through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework to boost research and development.

“We are ready to partner with you in this venture. Let the two parties form a committee so that we can discuss key and relevant areas of collaboration,” Dr. Simiyu advised. MKU also announced that it would support the upcoming Menengai Geothermal-Half Marathon by donating Sh. 250,000. The event will be held on November 11, 2012.
Last week, the institution’s Deputy Principal in charge of Nakuru Campus, Mr. Russell Ouma, signed the Marathon pledge form at MKU’s offices in Nakuru. “We are happy to partner with GDC in this venture and our students will participate,” he said.
Dr. Francis Njoroge, a member of the University Council, added that MKU was ready to share its synergies with GDC for the development of the two institutions. “Let us have a close linkage between the two institutions. We invite GDC to come on board and help our students in capacity building and training in key areas of science and research,” said the don.
