My name is Lindah Chepng’etich Sawe, and my journey is intricately woven with a fervent commitment to advancing knowledge through research. I am on an unyielding quest to explore the frontiers of technology and its multifaceted impact on our interconnected world. My professional trajectory, predominantly rooted in academia as a lecturer and graduate assistant, has been a fertile ground for cultivating a profound appreciation for research’s transformative potential. Teaching various courses in the Department of Information Technology has not only allowed me to share knowledge but also ignited a passion for delving into the uncharted territories of technology through rigorous research endeavors. This commitment to research is underscored by my active participation in conferences and the presentation of papers, addressing critical issues such as cyberbullying, phishing emails, and phishing detection models.

My academic pursuits extend beyond the classroom, with a focus on web 2.0 technologies, machine intelligence, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, wireless and mobile networks, and cyber security. Furthermore, my research contributions have found expression in publications and collaborations, such as the paper on phishing detection using KNN, published in the Journal of Cyber Security. This intersection of academia and research fuels my curiosity and ambition to explore the dynamic landscape of technology. Beyond the confines of academia, I am actively engaged in mentorship and corporate social responsibility, aligning my research-driven mindset with the broader goal of fostering positive change. As a volunteer mentor with Women In Cyber I am dedicated to nurturing the next generation of researchers and technologists.

Fluent in English, Russian, and Swahili, I view language as a tool for effective communication and collaboration in the global research community. My journey is not just a professional pursuit; it’s a relentless exploration of the intricate and ever-evolving tapestry of technology, research, and their collective potential to shape a better future.
