Elena Mwai is a Tutorial Fellow at Mount Kenya University , where she has accumulated over 15 years of teaching experience in the field of Information Technology. hold a BSc in Information Technology, an MSc in ICT Policy, an MBA in Accounting and Finance, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Information Technology, specializing in Machine Learning. Passionate about research, Elena Mwai is currently focused on AI applications for health, particularly in malaria diagnosis, prognosis, prediction, and control using AI techniques. She serve as a research representative for the School of Computing and informatic. She secured a research grant and is actively pursuing others. With a background in administrative tasks, including Department chairing, she has also contributed to curriculum development for undergraduate programs for computing programs and have extensive experience in online course module development. Beyond academia, Elena Mwai has engaged in consultancy tasks with international organizations like the British Council, focusing on digital literacy. She hold various certifications in information management and safeguarding, including being an ISO certified auditor. Additionally, she mentors students and serves as a member of a high school board for community service.
