
Dr. Henry Yatich
Henry Yatich is the Principal, College of Graduate Studies and Research at Mount Kenya University. He is a Senior Management Science Research Fellow at Mount Kenya University’s School of Business and Economics with research focuses on inclusive employability skills, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with an emphasis on bridging university-business linkages and knowledge transfer in Kenya. He has extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, particularly in evaluating business ecosystems and start-up innovations. He has sat in numerous international research conferences such as the British Council-Going Global, AOM, UNAI SDG7 Hub- Scientific Committee Member-18th International Conference on Energy and Climate Change.

Lead or Co-Principal Investigator (PI) Roles
- ACCESS Project (2020-2029): Dr. Yatich is the Lead Country Coordinator/PI in the Africa Centre for Career Enhancement and Skill Support (ACCESS-UBL pillar) project. The project focuses on entrepreneurship training, industry partnerships, and start-up promotion through design thinking, especially in the context of sustainable development goals. It also involves reviewing curricula and training modules to promote entrepreneurial skills by using technology-led innovations.
- “Africa Meets Bavaria Project” (2024-2026): He is a Co-PI in this project with UnternehmerTUM. The project’s goal is to bridge the gap between universities and industries to strengthen the innovation and start-up culture in Germany. This collaboration focuses on four emerging technology hubs in Africa, including Kenya
